Factory Schedule Maintenance

Your car is one of your largest investments… so let us help you protect it. Proper vehicle maintenance will increase the longevity of your vehicle, maintain proper fuel economy and avoid costly breakdowns while increasing the resell value. In today’s cars there are many lights on the dash.

What do they all mean?

Some say maintenance required, while others say maintenance is due. With today’s modern cars a one size fits all maintenance package may not satisfy the needs of your cars.

Most drivers would consider inspection of their cars primarily at the conventional intervals recommended: 50km, 100k, and 150km. However, with the one size fits all maintenance package you may be doing unnecessary service or miss services that need to be done. A lot can happen between those 50,000 km and no two drivers drive the same. Without a factory maintenance routine, your car will both accumulate damages and break down its structural integrity over time.

The factory maintenance guide that’s created by the car manufacturer every year is model specific and should be used as a minimum guide for routine maintenance.

Not all vehicle models require the same schedule so it’s important to use the specific manual for the specific year and model.

Not maintaining a vehicle by specific factory minimum standards could result in denied warranty repairs. Here at Cleland Automotive, we have access to all the manufactures service guidelines and recommendations for each specific vehicle.

At Cleland Automotive, we have invested in the people, training and equipment to service and repair just about any vehicle on the road today including Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Lincoln, GMC, Chevy, Buick, BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Jeep, Volvo, Nissan, Kia, Honda, Mazda, and many more.

We follow the manufacturer’s recommended specifications and guidelines to ensure your automobile drives like new no matter how many miles you’ve driven or how you’ve driven those miles.

Our knowledgeable staff will provide factory outlined, bumper to bumper maintenance checks and services to establish a detailed record of the maintenance history for each customer and car we work on.

Don’t let scheduled factory maintenance get in the way of your schedule. We have early bird drop off for your convenience.

Factory Scheduled Maintenance Intervals

Every schedule will list explicit maintenance procedures that should be performed at a certain mileage or time interval, whichever comes first. If an interval states that an oil and filter change needs to be performed at 5,000 kilometres or 3 months, it means whichever comes first, the 5,000 kilometres or the elapsed time of 3 months. As an example, if the vehicle has 3,000 kilometres since the last maintenance visit but it’s been over 3 months, the next service should be performed.

Severe Duty Vehicle Operation

Due to life in Canada, services need done more frequently than normal due to the temperature changes, road salt and snow.

Cabin Filter Replacement

There are many harmful contaminants in and around your car every day. Most newer cars have a Cabin Filter that filters these contaminants in the air you breathe when in your car. Make sure you replace this filter as recommended by the manufacturer, normally once a year.

Fluid Exchange Services

“Sure I take care of my vehicle, I change my oil regularly”. Sound familiar? Your oil is not the only fluid you should maintain or change. There are many systems that need lubricating. Your manufacturer’s Recommended Maintenance Schedule helps advise you on when to maintain or change these fluids.

Fuel System Services

We are dedicated to making your vehicle last longer and perform better. By removing engine deposits in combustion chambers, intake manifolds, ports and on valves, we will restore flow in fuel injectors while cleaning your entire fuel system while preventing deposits from forming in the fuel system and upper engine for maximum drivability and fuel economy. This improved fuel economy will reduce exhaust emissions. Our Fuel System Service will restore that “like new” drivability to an engine’s performance and keeps it running better, longer and more efficiently.
